Online Full-Text Journals

Most of our online journals are available from off-campus.

Use the link below to search for a journal title.  You can link to the journal to search it or to find a particular issue.

You will be asked for your campus network user name and password -- use your Allegheny email login.

Please Note:  For our subscribed journals and their articles, bookmarks or URLs copied while your are on-campus will not work when you are off-campus.  You need to navigate through our journal list page.

Indexes and Databases

Most indexes and databases can be accessed from off-campus.

Use the database list below for known indexes (e.g. PsychInfo) or collections (e.g. JStor).

You will be asked for a username and password - use your email login.

Please Note:  Bookmarks or URLs copied while you are on-campus will not work when you are off-campus.  You need to navigate through the links on our library webpages.

E-Books

From off-campus, you can link to any Allegheny-subscribed ebook using the link in Allecat.

You can also search their full text in our three main ebook collections, listed below.

Please Note:  Bookmarks and URLs to eBrary books will work the same on- or off-campus.  You will need to login if you are off campus.

  • Springer Link
    Subjects: Primarily science with some social sciences and humanities.
    Contains: Full text journal articles and 3,000+ books published by Springer. Some citations do not have full text - order from Interlibrary loan.

    Content: Reference articles and essays
