Class Survey Results

Response to Survey Results

1.  Refworks :   collect, organize and use citations for your research

2.  Allecat is Pelletier Library's online catalog.  It is a database of records for our books (ebooks and print books), videos/dvds (including what is in the Gameroom), music recordings, and more.  It does not have any records for jounal articles, however.

3.  List Four Databases you have used for conducting research in your field.  Lots of variety in these answers.  These answers show you do know how to begin finding journal articles.

4.  Why Use quotation marks in a search? "facial gesture*"  You nailed this one-to find the exact phrase rather than facial somewhere and gesture somewhere in the result.

5.  Which search gets the most:  answer women* OR mother* OR daughter*   Remember that OR IS MORE.  Also  remember that using the truncation symbol * allows the end of your word to vary.

6.  Citation types:  We'll talk more about this!!

7.  What you want to know:  how to find and then locate the full text of journal articles.
