French Culture, from Cultural Services of the French Embassy, U.S

This site aims to provide Americans with resources that advance all aspects of French culture. It promotes a variety of cultural areas including literature, the performing arts, film, television, higher education, grant programs, and the French language.

The site includes a calendar that can generate a US map indicating where French cultural events appear; events range from art exhibitions and film showings to book signings and musical performances/festivals. Users may visit specific sections of the site, titled Books; Film, TV and New Media; and Visual and Performing Arts. Each area has a news section with information related to new publications or movie releases.

Film, TV and New Media provides links to French television channels with programming that may be streamed online free of charge, even within the US. Visual and Performing Arts features information on an eclectic group of artists including rappers, pop singers, hip-hop performers, and ballet troupes. This section includes an overview of particular musical genres (such as the history of French hip-hop or Francophone jazz artists) with accompanying Spotify playlists that feature particular songs and musical groups. Video clips of various musical groups complete the section. Users may sign up to post comments on the site and subscribe to a variety of newsletters. Twitter and Facebook pages are available.
